Why My YouTube Channel Is Still Growing Without New Videos (And How to Turn Yours Into a Client-Getting Business Card)

Why My YouTube Channel Is Still Growing Without New Videos (And How to Turn Yours Into a Client-Getting Business Card)

What happens to your YouTube channel when life gets messy?

Do your views disappear?

Does growth stop?

Do you have to constantly upload new videos just to stay relevant?

These are questions I’ve been thinking about a lot lately.

Between rebuilding my business, creating a brand-new evergreen YouTube training, helping students build their own YouTube funnels, and trying to find a new home while managing a lung disability after a coma… life has been full.

Which means something surprising happened.

Other than my weekly Friday livestreams, I haven’t uploaded new long-form videos in months.

And yet…

My YouTube channel is STILL growing.

Not exploding.

Not “viral.”

But steadily growing in a way that honestly matters far more for a business owner:

More watch time.
More subscribers.
More trust.
More evergreen momentum.

And it got me thinking…

Most business owners are asking the wrong question about YouTube.

Instead of asking:

“How do I get more views?”

A better question might be:

“How do I attract the RIGHT viewers — the people already looking for help with the exact problem I solve?”

Because if you use YouTube for business, your goal is probably not to become YouTube famous.

Your goal is to attract warm leads.

Dream customers.

People who already want help.

That shift changes everything.

The Biggest Mistake Most Business Owners Make on YouTube

Most entrepreneurs accidentally treat YouTube like social media.

Post.

Post again.

Try harder.

Stress about consistency.

Chase trends.

Hope something finally works.

But YouTube is different.

When used intentionally, YouTube can become an evergreen business asset.

Something that keeps working long after you hit publish.

Something that continues attracting people while you sleep, while you work with clients, while you spend time with family… or even when life forces you to slow down.

That doesn’t happen by accident.

It happens when you build intentionally.

Your YouTube Channel Should Work Like a Business Card

Here’s one of the biggest mindset shifts I teach:

Stop thinking of your YouTube channel as a collection of videos.

Start thinking of it as a client-getting business card.

When someone lands on your channel homepage, ask yourself:

❓ Do they instantly know who you help?
❓ Do they understand what problem you solve?
❓ Is there a clear next step?
❓ Are you guiding them deeper into your world?

Or…

Does your channel accidentally feel random?

Too many topics.

Too many directions.

Too much confusion.

Because confusion kills conversions.

Instead, think intentional.

One problem → one solution → one next step.

Your channel should guide people.

Warm them.

Build trust.

Help them feel understood.

And move them naturally from curious viewer → loyal subscriber → dream client.

One More Thing (Let’s Stay Accountable Together)

One of my favourite parts of these weekly livestreams has become our accountability check-in.

Progress matters.

Even tiny progress.

Momentum matters more than perfection.

So after you watch the replay, I’d love for you to leave me a comment on the video and tell me:

🎯 What’s ONE thing you plan to accomplish next week?

I read them, I cheer you on, and honestly… it’s becoming one of my favourite little communities on the internet. 🤗
