Hi I'm Amanda van der Gulik and I'm excited to share with you my journey of turning my passions into passive income and achieving financial freedom, even when the doctors said I would never work again.

In 2016, I woke up from a 3-week coma as a disabled lung person, unable to work. I was devastated. I had always been an active, hardworking person and suddenly, I was faced with the reality that I would never be able to work again.

But then, I remembered something my parents had taught me when I was a kid: "It's not what life throws at you, it's how you handle it." I was determined to find a way to make money from home and live my life to the fullest.

That's when I remembered my love for cake decorating and baking. I had always loved making cakes for family and friends and had even turned my hobby into a business. I started filming my decorating skills and sharing them on my YouTube channel. To my surprise, my videos were a hit and I started making passive income from them every month!

After my coma when I was strong enough to get back on my laptop I was absolutely blown away that while I was asleep, fighting for my life in a coma, the passion passive income I had built prior was still generating passive recurring income every single month!

That's when I realized that I could turn my passions into profit. I started learning everything I could about online business, entrepreneurship, and YouTube organic marketing. I also made sure to emphasize this in my other business where I was teaching my kids about financial literacy and the importance of having multiple streams of passive income.

That was a second business I had built prior to my coma and I was still selling my courses during my coma and months of rehab. It was absolutely incredible and gave me a new mission.
